Hello Bev,

What an impressive pair of knockers!

Crisp and clear, the shadows thrown by the sunlight emphasise the grain of the varnished wood nicely.

I like the way the two modern keyholes have been inserted in the wood, so that they look almost like knots.

Only the Italians would take so much trouble.

Black frame is just right.

this is great. Perfectly clear color, exquisite detail, perfect light and contrast. I like the contrast in the round brass door knockers and the lines and angles of the wood and I love the warm rich color of the wood and its texture, too. No wonder you were taken with it. Hello Bev, I like the way that you have cropped this shot.You have really managed to capture the properties of the wood.
The shadows of the handles just add to the whole picture.
