[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another experiment with paintbrush filters. The landscape is a cypress lined road in Tuscany captured with a telelens. But the light and the colours were so peculiar that I decided to enhance the mood by adding the paintbrush effect - which in this case is a watercolor effect. For once, I have not posted the original as workshop, but if anyone would like to see it, I can do it of course.

I was asked to post the original as Workshop, so I did. Maybe that should have been the post. I really don't know.

Great paint :) Could you present the original photo? Thanks.

Hi Per!
I like both versions!
I like the PP because of the hues of Autumn and the original because of the details..
Thanks for sharing both :)
Cheers!

Yes...i always get amazed when you question us on this Per. I mean..of course you should have post the original ;)) Well, at least my view here, tells me the original one already has a peculiar pattern, almos creating a graphic image. This one here only makes the edges more straight i guess. Anyway i like both, with an extra kudo for the original one.

I have just read your comment on my image. I see you didnt get my e-mail. I wrote you one day after it hapened when i got the terrible news, as i knew you were a bit offline the TL world and as i knew you and Kat had that special mood that can be built around here between special persons. I´m sory you didnt get it...i already wrote you before without geting answer so i supose the link here for that is not working very well. Anyway...the hell with that.

When it hapened, i remembered of some talks i had with friends around, specialy Zandra, about how strange it is to create relations based on TL and then if sudendly someone just stops posting here, we have the chance of possibly not know what hapened with that soul, if you know what i mean. Fortunately, in a way, Kat was surronded by persons who knoew about TL and we all got the news. But a strange feeling on all this made me get overwhelmed you know...and one of the things that bored my neurons and my cardio cells was the fact that you were away for too long. Well, guess we all get more sensitive when things like this happen...and it truly made me go back to those thoughts i had manny times about being so close and so distant at the same time. So...if tomorow never comes: i love you man! Take good care.

Hi Per,
In this case I by far prefer the original! Not that I normally dislike processed pictures... by no means, but here I cannot see you add much of interest since the original is very good as it is! The compressed perspective has an interest value by itself, and I like the details... Would probably be a different matter if the original wasn't such a good picture in need of hiding obvious flaws... not so here.
Regards,
pablo -

Lovely picture Per. Your PP complements and is very apt for such a famous road in Italy. Every single Italian student has learnt by heart the famous poem of G. Carducci, who was from Bolgheri, which talks about the cypress trees flanking the road. The paint effect recalls to my mind the verses of this poem with a melancholic feeling for my past youth.

The WS - original - is a good shot, but with your PP work you really added some interest, Per. I really like the artwork. The only thing I'd have changed is the slight tilt ccw of the picture.
Glad to see you back on TL. I hope to get some more time for it myself.

Hi Per,
Lovely impressionistic approach. I like these studies. Will you use this to make a real painting of it? I’ll recommended it to you.
Groet Rob

I actually like the original better, but it is a spectacular photo nonetheless. Well seen, what a pretty road!

Bonjour Per
Those cars seem to be floating down a water fall!
Dreamlike effect.
Great!

Deep, detailed, inspired, impressive, definitelly the original is the good one. A little bit of PP could be helpful (just for colors an light), but not a filter like this one.
My opinion, I'm very sorry, a great shot but...a poor pp.
Thank you,
Fidel

hello Per,
I prefer the original too! It is great. The view is very fascinating and i think it deserves to be well detailed (like you have in the original) so that people can really enjoy your fantastic POV!
As Pablo said, Processing is great ..but in this particular instance I think the original is the winner - unless of course this was masterfully painted by hand (eg Oil, Water Colour, Acrylic... lol)

Well done.
Best regards, Daniel.

PS: Greenie to come later. Sorry, but I must insist that the Greenie is for the original :o)
