[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We were walking in Ravello, a small village high in the mountains of the Amalfi Coast. As we entered this tunnel, I saw these two ladies walking slowly in front of us. Every 3 meters, the one on the right was stopping and saying something to her friend. I could not understand what she was telling, but the tone was one of confidence and big secrets...

PP Notes:
- Some cropping on the right and top;
- Converted to B&W;
- Re-sized for TL

Enjoy!

it seems a stolen image.... and a very good image.... bravo... may be I'd preffered to look the arc in the upper part, but I image you were not in th eright conditions to chose the better compo....
Paolo

belle capture! Le noir et blanc est très bien traité : ces deux silhouettes qui se parlent et ont l'impression de comploter ;D
Petit point : dommage que l'arche soit en effet coupée comme le note Paolo... Mais pas grave, le sujet lui est bien traité!

Tres belle photo,Pierre! Beau moment capture! Les silhouettes sont magnifiques! Tres belle composition! Bravo! Michel

Oh, so you are imagining clandestine whisperings, huh? She's probably speaking of her next door neighbor who had a strange car parked in her driveway until 11:00 p.m.!!! :)))

I like your idea better. ;)

Nice mood here, and nicely composed, per usual.
Gayle :)

Belle composition Pierre. Les contrastes ressortent bien. De plus ta note appuie bien le sujet. Bonne photo!
Guy

Salut Pierre,
you caught the right spot to illustrate this moment of secrets. The setting and the silhouettes of the two old lady tell it all ...
very well seen!

I like the interaction here, very well captured! Interesting use of lighting, where the details in the persons are vanished except for what we get from the silhouettes... Interesting setting, probably two neighbors living around the corner... Stories to be made from this one, a good quality in a picture
Regards,
Pablo -

Pierre! WHAT IS THIS? A MAGIC WITH CAMERA?! This is perfect! Congratulations for a great look to the around!

Hello Pierre,

Wonderful capture and perfectly presented here in B&W. The strong silhouettes are powerful against the lighter textures in the background. Feeling well expressed here! Excellent!
Thaks,
Kevin

Lovely capture Pierre and one of wonderment as to what the ladies were saying. your choice of B&W is excellent here. Well done

John

it's of course a huge tonal range!!! The 'light' a bit burnt out, the darkness hadly any detail, with some PS, it could be made good, well worth it..., M, (*,*)

amazing catched the pose of hand and how face to face they are speaking, with umbrella's and bag..
very very good apture of daily ! ThanX!! V

Good shot and beautiful note.
Thanks for sharing Pierre.
Ciao
Gigi

I very much like light and contrast of this picture. A fine photo!

Salut Pierre,
Superbe photo ! C'est excellent que les deux personnes soient completement noires (je veux dire sur la photo). On imagine la discussion en italien qui irait avec cette scene.
Bravo !

Hi Pierre, beautifully captured. I love the silhouette. The hand gesture, the walking stick, umbrella - everything perfect. TFS.
All the best,
Paul

Some mood of the film The Third Man by Orson Welles; dark shades complotting. Good snap; activates the phantasy.
Huub

Hi Pierre,
1. composition is great - I lovwe your decision to turn the ladies into silhouettes leaving the textures behind them so readable
2. in this case it's great it's the central compo. They are one and obnly subject of this photo.
3. I like a lot how you wrote the note. In fact, I have the same observation with old people.
Great shot and note. tfs

Probably just town gossip, Pierre ;o)).
I like the silhouette approach. Ok, you probably didn't wanna use the flash anyway... Considering the difficult conditions for your light meter, the exposure is well balanced. TFS.

HI Pierre,
This has a nice "period" quality to it. Looks like a still from a 1950s movie. I would have kept the top of the arch without cropping.

ca, c'est ma favorite!!! woooooow! what a great picture! it's like the japanese theatre of shaddows, or like a miniature medievale, I can't belive it is make with the camera! I love it, it makes me imagine a whole story when I look at it! GREAT ONE!

congratulations!
anca

This definitely falls in the same category as the posting of Marleen.
Very good compo, making the BW work really well.
The fringing around the left person is intrigueing.
The scene looks like from an old tale.
Would the picture be stronger if the arch was complete...?
TFS, congratulations

Beautiful picture Pierre
I like the work in her, taste
of the details and of the atmosphere, old
beautiful and deep.
Great picture!
Congratulations

Very moody b&w scene, nice silhouettes and contrast,I like it a lot.

Wow, this looks like a real candidate for my figures in urban landscapes series. And it is such a special and different urban landscape that I like it a lot. I will try to add the necessary grain in workshop.

Excellent shadows, this one really reminds me of the architecture and situations in Istria (Croatia). I should make some similar shots, just to make you think about visiting Europe once again ;)))
I like the B&W here, that really emphasises the silhouettes. Composition is also nice and you did a very good job here, congratulations!
Robert

I see the light of the end of the tunnel ;)
I like the way the colours go from dark to light.good composition, the silhouetes are really nice, makes me wonder what they were telling.

Merhaba Pierre,
Very good atmhospher. İnterestin lighting! good B&W photo.
Well Done!
