[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello.
This shot was taken on December 8...in Italy was a national holiday and we were so lucky to have a sunny morning after 3 weeks of consecutive rainy days!
I went on the slopes of the volcano VESUVIUS and made a few shots.
This area is now a national park.This mountain has the gulf of Naples on the west side with wonderful landscape over Sorrento,Capri and Naples.My view here is toward the valley on S/E side of the volcano.You can see the mist ...result of a sunny morning after many rainy days!

About P.P. cropping,resizing,contrast,B/W,green and yellow tones,saturation,sharpening and adding a frame.
I posted a WS with the colour version...let me know.

Critiques [Translate]

The pic quality is poor here (bad scan perhaps?), but the composition is spot on! Love the silouettes and the mountains. Nice.

Gorgeous composition and colors. The shapes are sublime and the different layers of the scene put the frame together.

Hello Francesco,

I love the composition here. The framing acomplished by the two bent trees on either side is fantastic. The scene is beautiful and the DOF nice. Try darkening the shadows or add some contrast. There is some glow over running the tree trunks that might be taken care of this way. Lovely scene.

I like it ... the quality is unimportant to me. Now, I don't know why, but I like an element of it so much that I have done some small amendments and transformed it into something that I like so much that I will be using it as a desktop background for a while.

Hi Francesco, well in this one Vesuvio or surroundings seems quite far away from a bomb, but reality is much different and we do know it!
nice compo, very good pp work, quality is not excellent but still pleasing to look at

I think this is the best version but also original is very good,it's a pleasant pov and ppwork adds a fairly atmosphere.
