Hello. Here is a view of Pompeii from the Vesuvius.

P.P. crop,resize,turn B/w,contrast,tone,saturation,light,shadows,sharpness,NeatImage,add frame.

When you think of Pompeii probably you think about the ancient roman ruins of the city destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D.
Yes of course...you are right...but in Pompeii there is an important church, one of the most important in Italy. This is the belltower and the dome of "Pontificia Basilica della Vergine del Rosario" the church of "Mary Virgin".
The shot is taken from the lower slope of volcano Vesuvius in a misty morning.

I will post a version of the colour photo i started from in the WORKSHOP...

Thanks and regards...FRANCESCO

Good shot, Francesco! The composition is a bit centered, but from your point of view, it was hard to do otherwise. Plus aligning the bell tower with the highest peak of the mountain seems to balance the picture very well. Good conversion to sepia. A pleasant picture to watch!

Beautiful conversion to B&W, Francesco, and a good composition. Nice point of view with this mountain at the back that seems to darf the whole scene. Excellent!

Hello Francesco,
Its a nice shot here and the monochrome works well. perhaps you could have done away with the white power lines, just perhaps... But you've got my points here :-)

Hi Francesco,
A very beautiful picture. The composition is pretty balanced by the trees on the two sides. The only thing I don't like is the telephone/electricity wires.

nice shot francesco :)
i like the depth here, good use of the trees to frame the image

well composed

The fog is amazing! Great shot, but wouldn't it be nice to clone out the white lines? They distract a little I think.

Fantastic view and mood what u got with this colour is amazing. Thanks for sharing,
Laila

Nice pov and nice mood in b/w. Well done.

Best regards,

Don

Excellent PP work Francesco. Such a pity that there are so many powerlines for us to contend with but that is all part of the view. Good choice to convert this one from colour TFS. Thanks for the comment on 'Lone Flight'.
David

Hello Francesco,

Beautiful and very interesting image here. The framing done by using the trees is wonderful and well seen. I love your pp work on this one. It has a mystical feel. Wel done.

As always peace and love to you!
Kevin
