Hungry cow!
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I just looked at my photostream here and thought that it lacks humour, and is a bit too "ikonic" so here is a picture of a farmer trying to control his hungry cow.
We were driving to look for berries last summer and I had been stopping a few times to unsuccessfully try to get some pictures of the pair of "Hawks" flying and then I saw this farmer moving his cow and am now quite happy that I did...
I did a little levels adjustment, brightness and contract changes and then hightlight and shadows adjustments (been finding this one very useful in stituations where there is a much brighter light source in one part of the image) in Photo shop. Then down sized and had to down quality a little to fit in our format here...
Do you sometimes feel your held back from that big full field that is your destiny, I know sometimes I do, but then again the cow would just eat itself to death if you let it in there anyway... ;)
Best wishes to you all out there in a spring that is so warming and wonderful... |

Hello Francis,
Nice to meet you again! (I look to the thumbnails without having the name of the photographer and the points displayed, so I did'nt know it was you ;-).)
This one drew my attention for its beautiful colour combination and the blurred background, which gives the photo a good DOF. I like the electric powerline too. However, it's a pity you had to "decapitate" the two pines. I would have cropped the sky. I'll try to post a WS. Hope you'll like it.
TFS & have a nice day!
Erik

Hi Francis,
Good homour in the title, I really appreciate it in a picture... I like the sown field covered with a sea of white flowers... I am not sure what should have been the focousing distance though... If the cow and the farmer are the subjects, should they have been the focuoused points leaving flowers as a white blurring area? Not sure how to solve it... Did you try this way? Regards, Marta
This is a very amusing image. The story is very clear, even without the note. In addition this photo has definite merits in terms of composition. Sharpness and contrast would benefit from being increased.

Great picture! The moment, the composition. Everything! I like when people see the world around them, the meaningfulness of it!
Thanks,
Lena
