very beautiful colors of sunset.. especially the sunlight that makes the branches of the tree as if they are transparent creates an impressive effect.. a perfect sunset photo.. congratulations..

Stunning sunset view Laine! The reds are wonderful as they dance through the clouds and trees. I really like the smal amount of detail in the shadowed areas. Well done on exposure! As far as shooting the sun there are solar filters available for sun observation through telescopes. It is a heavy mylar film material just a little thicker than a mylar balloon. Please be careful... viewing the sun through optics can cause permanent damage to your eyes if the proper filters are not used as well as possibly damaging your equipment from heat generated inside the camera from the sun's light magnified. The dark green glass from a welder's mask also works to view the sun. I have never photographed the sun. I have view the sun trough a telescope with the proper filter. You may have to do more research on this in order to be safe for your eyes and your camera. I have seen telescopes melt without the proper filters on and left pointing at the sun only for a few minutes. Extremely dangerous Laine. Please be careful! Now back to the shot... just beautiful and very well done.
Love and Peace always in the sun's light
Kevin
