Oh Fog ! I haven't seen a scene like this in a long time. You are right to take advantage of it. The frozen fog on the twigs are like snowcristals.

Hmm, I'll help you with your note, maybe this will add. A lonely tree indeed, planted there by humans like prisoners with a life centence. To far away to be sheltered by the others, to clean around it to give life to the seeds it grows every year. The road looks nice to our terms of nice, like streetlights. Maybe next time they could plant a bunch of trees, a bit just like this. Room for small animals and birds to hide and nest, some mushrooms growing, some plants growing that need shade and moist. Life again, just like nature wants it. Almost in balance of nature to even grow a new tree in years to come.
Just being funny Laine, like our photo, the mist really give a very nice view and and and.. I already said so much about the tree(s). I hope you smiled when you read my critique while you enjoy your hot coco.

This is a lovely composition, where you frame the main elements of the scenery with great skill!
The lighting of the haze/fog gives an excellent background for the trees with their pleasant textures and details... Exposure control well managed, and all together good work!

A rhapsody in blue. One can feel the crackling cold in the expanse and in the veins of the tree. The feeble sun seems to be fighting a losing battle. Very quiet and still in its beauty Laine. Well done.
