This is one more of the welders series photos that i took in Riga shipyard in Latvia.
I am both amazed with the speciality of atmoshpere and of the difficulty of work that welding posseses.
I am very respectfull of the job performed at that place, with a rather traditional equipment. Breathing the poisonous fumes, experiencing terrifying noise and dimmed light is a very existance of these people. Hence, I dedicate this photo to all of them.
I cropped it a bit to bring more focus to the character. I also did some noise reduction in neat image and some slight contrasting and shadowing in sigma's photo pro. that's about it.
I hope you like the result.

Une image qui me rapelle des souvenirs, mon papa est soudeur et j'ai vécu avec ce décor! Belle couleurs chaudes, bonne netteté, j'aurais parcontre laissé plus d'espace a la droite de l'image plutôt qu'a la gauche...

Saw the photo before I saw the location yes I do look at Latvian photos more closely. Ok now to what is right about the photo
You nailed the exposure you had a high ISO setting which milked the intense contrast for all it was worth.
You put the shot in context the yellow flaming light from the background windows.
Hi Alan, Great lighting, mood, atmosphere and composition. Well done!
