well, yes. i have done lots of with photoshop in this picture. i mean brightening, changing exposure and gamma, reducing colors, cropping, sharpening and so on. but c'mon! this picture is my second set when i was photographing live performance with my new wide screen fisheye lens/adapter. why adapter? because it's like 8 times cheaper then original fisheye lens.. but it is quite complicated to focus manually when you are looking through two lenses, the lighting is minimal and objects are always in movement.
why do i like this picture? because the guy with guitar is in movement. and the drummer is in front. it is unusual in concert pics. isn't? and i love the way the light is falling in this picture: if u imagine that the picture starts on the right, you have thin dark space first of all, then there's object (which is not in the center) and then again - the end and dark space.
and i love the TV (shutter priority) functiont on my Pentax istDL* camera. it is perfect when the lighting is poor and the object is moving. usually i set it on 20 to 125 and ISO 800 to 1600. and that's it!
btw. the guys in the picture are latvians "mona de bo". they make quite psychodelic bluesish rock'n'roll. try them at myspace. |
