Good Morning Everyone,

This was my first view of Luxembourg City after we left the coach. From the bus stop, adjacent to the war memorial, there was this wonderful view into a garden flying many flags, which was above a lower garden and then out across the vast space to an impressive bridge, with magnificent buildings beyond.

I was impressed!

Luxembourg City is built on a hill with vast slopes down to The Grund. There is lots of evidence of protective walls, towers and their frequent desrtuction. The centre of the city itself is bright, cosmopolitan, and has many squares surrouded by outdoor cafes and expensive shops.

Many thanks for dropping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Shot in RAW.

You chose a wonderful POV to present Luxembourg City!
The big triangel in you composition balances so well each of the interest points and all details in the image.
I like the warm Autumn light.

Hi Bev,

Splendid image that we offer.
I visited five times in Luxembourg. I recognized the place from which you photographed. Indeed when you look down see the old town. I was also there. Something special.
Greetings from Germany,
Adrian

Hi Beverley, a strong composition with the triangle of wall, bridge and terrace which keeps our eyes moving around the shot taking in all the details. Then the two smaller triangles with the lawns and flower beds.
You were obviously blessed with good weather; there is a lovely play of light and shadow.
I like the inclusion of the people on the bridge enjoying the view.
Luxembourg looks a place worthy of a visit.
Tfs, regards Jean.
