For days I have been trying to produce a contribution for the split personality theme group of 2006. And it just won't happen. So for today I will have to post a simple picture of a country trio from the backyards of Luxembourg. One of the musicians is wrong. Can you tell which one?

This is a montage of three photos. All three were taken as part of a series of shots intended to get the right one for this montage that I had promised to do for our dear departed Kathleen "Sandpiper". It was a very very warm day and the photo on the right was taken while setting up and the two other after I put on some proper cowboy gear. I cut all three out of their original frames with the background and all, and then pasted them together as three layers which I then flattened. After that the fun began of making the background look somehow like one. This was achieved primarily using the cloning tool (for instance by removing the drain in the ground on the middle photo - because yes I was standing in the same position for all shots). I also had to work on the wall in various places. And the figure on the right was of course mirrored to get him to look in the direction of the other two, and to achieve the impression of a corner where there isn't one. If you want to understand that by having a look at how the backyard really looks, you can compare with this post which was made from the middle frame of the one you are looking at now plus a photo that Kathleen sent me for the original montage.

BONSOIR PER!
Félicitations!
Luci

Very amusing and well done! Got to be the guy in the middle who is wrong...doesn't have both feet on the ground!!! The one on the right is too obvious, but it is really probably him...lol! TFS,
Fran

This is a very hilarious picture, Per, and I wish you had all of the arms in the frame but that just me being nit-picky. Your montage is excellent as I cannot tell which one is not real. Quite a trio you have in your backyard and I hope you enjoy their music. I am a bit concerned about the one with the short as it must be pretty cold right now in Luxembourg! Well done and thanks for the laugh!

P.S. I certainly would like to know how you did this...

I'm guessin' that the one on the right has been flipped horizontally. I don't think he's really a lefty playing a left handed guitar. At least you have placed him facing into the image instead of looking off to the right of the image. Like what you've done here.

Hi,Per! it reminds me of your work that you`ve done in the past with Sandpiper! Nice composition! I would have preferred though that you did not cut yourself on the first and the third photos. This is a funny and attractive picture! Well done! Michel

Very funny Per, whatever processing you did is hidden very well. How long did this take you?

Hello Per...
Hehehehehe! Funny one and well done! Well done, since I cannot tell right away how you did this... But then I like some things to be kept secret...
Regards,
Pablo -
