I fought in the old revolution
on the side of the ghost and the King.
Of course I was very young
and I thought that we were winning;
I can't pretend I still feel very much like singing
as they carry the bodies away.
(second stanza from the song The Old Revolution by Leonard Cohen)

I found this bottle in St. Petersburg two years ago and brought it back to Luxembourg. And some time last summer when an old friend and warrior of 68 dropped by on a summer evening with his wife, we drank it. I was never a great admirer of Che Guevara in the sixties, but there are times when I feel that his legacy is maybe being slightly distorted. But at least the wine tasted good and for five minutes the spirit of 68 came back to us.

No technical wizardry here.

That kind of revolution may hit me any time, Per ;o)). Bread, cheese and wine... your inspiration could have been Biblical too ;o).
TFS.

Nice tight crop, Per! And a good composition and set-up. Glad the wine was good, too! Nice work!

Very nicely composed, Per, with all of the nice element for a nice meal - bread, cheese & wine. Nice reflection (or maybe even refraction!) on the wine glass and on the bottle. You selected a very nice song from one of our Canadian icon. Well done!

I like the picture a lot.But our brazilian experience with a left wing government has been one of complete disappointment.Never before,in our political hystory, had we seen so much corruption,as we see now.Great photo.Yod

Hi Per.
I'd never seen Che on a wine-bottle before. Argentinian wine bought in StPetersburg, consumed in Luxembourg... Perhaps not a link to the revolutionary spirit, but at least he traveled also that much.
What I like in the picture is the strong vertical orientation shown with the bottle, the glass, the upstanding spoon, even the lamels on the far wall.
And the contrasting basic colours ofcourse.
TFS

Hi Per,

I like the compo, the red wine the bread, and the martyr. And "the nature is the temple"... Simple and thoughtful.

TFS!

Cheers,
Marcie

Z założenia mojego istnienia i wszelkich pogladów , wszyscy buntownicy i rebelianci mają u mnie większy respekt niz którykolwiek z polityków.
Drinking for rewolution, rebelians newer die :)
Cheers, nice pic
