One of the most exciting films I remember having seen as a boy, was the classic film "Beau Geste" from 1939 with Gary Cooper and Ray Milland. It opens and closes in a fort of the Foreign Legion somewhere in the Nort African desert. I've forgotten the story, so I could surely see it again. But when I came across this fort some months ago, I immediately thought of that film - and the character of Beau Geste. And lo, there he was, looking out from the ramparts. And the opening line of the prologue to the film came back to me: 'The love of a man for a woman waxes and wanes like the moon...but the love of brother for brother is steadfast as the stars, and endures like the word of the prophet.'(Arabian Proverb)
Technique: a macroshot of the papermache casing of some computer part, combined with the only available shot of "Beau Geste", some touch up and resizing. And the rest is silence. |

A fine composition which I like to come back to in the moorning - Rigth now its bed time -
Fooled me with the casing, I really thought that it was some kind of architectural design. Nice shot.
John must leave his love for Isobel behind to join his two brothers:
- "I think at least one of the Gestes tought to kiss you goodbye. I've been in love with you for a very long time. I just didn't know how to say it. And now that I do know...it's too late."
As he departs, he confesses to Isobel:
"If I had stolen anything from Brandon Abbas, it would have been you."
Would you show us the Blue Water before you go? We may not get another chance to see it.
Isnīt Life wonderful, dear Per? :)

What a fuc(k) are you doing in that place Marco? ;)))
Funny experience Per.
It was what I first thought. Very cute idea! funny, clever, and indeed could be a french foreign legion fort... in some arid place awaiting the barbarians!
Very interesting geometry and shapes here. So simply and effectively captured. I didn't notice the man's figure right off. He looks a little 'digital' in appearance. You may want to consider cloning him out. But a nice shot.
