| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Some time ago I was contacted by an organisation in Brussels that asked if they could use some of my photos on their website and for their magazine. You can imagine what that does for the average amateur photographer's self-esteem. But the summit so far has been to make the front cover of a British magazine with a large distribution - just thanks to TrekEarth and TrekLens. Because this is where they came upon the original for the cover in the photo.
Somehow it all reminds me of one of the great songs of my youth, written by Shel Silverstein and recorded by Dr Hook. Here is the first stanza:
Well we are big rock singers, we've got golden fingers
And we're loved everywhere we go
We sing about beauty and we sing about truth
At ten thousand dollars a show
We take all kind of pills to give us all kind of thrills

Well, congratulations, Per ;o). Maybe a bit more of the face, and a little less of that, well, errr... tie would have been nicer LOL.
I'm glad our national traffic jams actually serve a purpose...

Congratulations Per, this is certainly an ocassion to celebrate. Don't forget when you become rich and famous, I was one of your first friends on TL. Just joking. Great self portrait that you should be proud of.

I hope they paid you for that! Congratulations for the picture; I never go to TE anymore, so I did not see it. A good one, nice use of the telephoto, but I like the crop they used better! Take care!

Very well done on your now famous shot! Nice to see you've made the front cover here. I've been lucky too recently having one of my shots on local TV here in the UK. This made me really proud and feeling famous for a few minutes.
