a juveline barn owl growing up in our wildlife care center.when they are young, barn owls look like little ghosts, covered with white fluffy feathers.

Bird of the Year 2008

***
the barn owl is a pale, long-winged, long-legged owl, 33–39 cm in length with an 80–95 cm wingspan. Its head and upperparts are buff, and the underparts are white. The face is heart shaped.
they live and breed in close proximity to man in hamlets, villages and isolated farms and on the edges of larger towns. Nests are built in church towers, barns, lofts, dovecots, ruined castles and abandoned mine workings.
The timing of breeding and the number of broods depends on the availability of food.

Hello Carole,

Ah!... I see that you also have a beautiful and beautiful shot of a baby owl.
I like them, they are beautiful and he has an enormous patience of being hours and hour in a branch without movement.
When I am going the forest, I see enough of them, I admire them a lot.
Beautiful look of this his white owl. the details of their feathers are wonderful.
Congratulations

Sérgio
