[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
The old quarter "Grund" and the fortifications of Luxembourg Ville are classified with the world heritage of UNESCO since 1994.

I took this photo in February 2007. The original photo was color.
I chose to put it in B&W.

Work on the photo:
- revived colors
- N&B
- increase in contrast
- realignment
- addition of a frame “film”

Hi Laurence,

I think the photo of the old quarter is absolutely beautiful with all of the different styles of buildings. The pov with the river curving into the scene makes my eyes look at each structure one by one. I really like it. I wish you would post the color photo as I'm sure it has an entirely different feel and mood.

In my honest opinion, I think this frame is way to bold of a frame for such detailed buildings. I like the frame itself, but I think it's too modern for the old graceful buildings.

I remember visiting Luxembourg, and it is a beautiful, beautiful place.

Hi Hi Laurence,
Beautiful b&w photo,good composition,perfect.Congratulation.
Best regards,
Ralf

Nothing to say of the conversion to b&w and certainly not of your compo, Laurence. Both are fine.
As for the frame, I think the top part should be less wide than the bottom part, and some amber letterings (photo number etc.) would enhance the "reality" of the frame.
As said, the picture itself is quite nice.

Bon choix le N&B ! Belle présentation de ce vieux quartier mis en valeur par un chouette cadrage! Marci mam'selle Laurence !
Bonne journée.
