Ghar Qawqla, Marsalforn, Gozo

Behind that islet, a particularly nice place to swim at, is found.
However, all the locals know that one should avoid swimming there even in mild seas since many swimmers have drowned there.The seas tend to pull you down because of the basin- shaped nature of the bay.

The main concern when taking this photo, was to time some decent wave, which in fact did not occur. The photo was straightened slightly using iPhoto.
