[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the showy flower of the Tree Mallow.
It is a very robust plant and is very widespread here. Begins blooming in early Spring.
Caught my eye while on my usual Sunday walks.

The photo was cropped and cloned of extra vegetation retaining the dark background.
Adjusted slightly in Curves and USM.

Hi Salvu,
It's a great shot against the dark background. The almost translucent purple flower stands out so distinctly and balances so well against the green leaf forming a diagonal across the frame.
Thanks for sharing.

I can see every little detail on the plant. Great macro work, and well chosen BG it looks like a poster or a walpaper. Superb light contrasts and colors, TFS!

Quite an artful presentation because of the oblique line represented by flower and leaves.
Pleasing vivid colors on dark background and so sharp details!
