[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Although Spring is in it's vigour and nature is all awake in splendour, these snails are already gathering to retreat in their protective shell.
Snails prefer the wet and humid atmosphere, and in these conditions they are most active.
Here,with Meditteranean weather they hibernate the whole of Summer, till they are awakened by the first rains of Autumn.

The photo was adjusted slightly in Levels, burred more the green background in Gussian Blur, after selecting it. Finished by sharpening in USM and adding a frame.

Interesting, I like the composition and the group placement of the snails, works very well! Now if only you could of gotten that family to smile! ;)

Nicely done, Salvu. I like your composition focusing on the snails. The light is maybe a tiny bit harsh on the snails but that is a very minor details. Good choice of DOF. Well done!

Wow! I know a place were i can see them sometime... But i never had the chance to see 2 couples like that! It's funny to see there is two shells pales and 2 others more darken... Like the males and female.
But i don't think there is a link about that..
I believe those gasteropodes are hermaphrodite (Have the two sex)
