Great shot - clean and clear, good sharp detail - did you use flash? I'm trying to figure out the source of that catclight in the owl's eye - with beautifully soft background.

Be it a male or female, its a wow shot to me.
The feathers are tack sharp, the eye has a great reflection and I swear this bird posed when he saw your camera.

Very detailed and colorful shot of that owl. I can almost feel the texture of its plumage -- I don't think that I would try that, however -- its beak looks quite purposeful! TFS.
