Bonjour Francis,

What a terrific macro of the beautiful Sunflower...Amazing clarity! The positioning of the sunflower is one of teh attractive parts of the picture. The central part is glowing like the Sun and the petals of the flower being sunrays. A lot of energy is reflected in this shot. I also like teh framing done for this capture, very eye-catching and innovative. Well, I am not that good in PP work.
The sharpness and POV are great and the shallow DOF works very well here. The leaf adds aditional charm into the shot.
An original work!

Like your positioning of the flower in this shot.
The lighting from behind looks very good but the PP work is quite noticeable around the leave and stem.

this sunflower looks being not real but in your illusionary visual space,
light and colors are unusual and 1/4 composition is almost surrealistic,
in it, petals and leaves are shining by themselves,

Hey Francis,

Just thought I'd comment on this photo so I don't come off too cruel.

I truly think this is a wonderful photo. I'm not a fan of the lines on the right, but the actual photo is stunning.

You captured some great backlighting that has added tons of drama to an already interesting composition. I like that your didn't attempt to get the whole flower in the frame - it isn't necessary. We know what kind of flower this is jsut from the quadrant you have shown.

I would have been tempted to crop out the leaf when I shot this, but I think that keeping it in has made this image better. It gives a small frame to the flower, grounding it in the image rather than leaving it floating in space.

Wonderful stuff - much like most of your other work.
