The picture was taken at the backdoor of the Chisinau Organ Hall. Why such a dreadful guard to the music hall? It is simple. The building was erected in the beginning of the 20th century for the State Bank. There was a scuplture to the trade god Mercury standing over the central entry, and the stone lions guarding the other entries. The organ was installed in the building later on. The Mercury Scuplture was removed and only the stone guards remained :)
