[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This small niche with the image of Our Lady was in a corner of a house in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
I tried an experiment - I converted the original in B&W and I left the small statue in color. I added a shadow of some small leaves in the white part of the photo!
As usual I accept any critique and appreciate all.
My wish is to learn more....I love photography.
Thanks.

Francis Xavier

Congratulations and TFS.

Interesting statue of Mary? I would like to know why she has a sword and what else she has in her hand. I would say your experiement has been successful and added interest to your shot. Well done
warm regards
David

Hi Francis, I think the partial desaturation works very well here ... and the shadow of leaves .. very good idea to add those. It adds a touch of interest on that very white wall. Great work.

hello Francis,
your conversion to black & white has made the colours of Mary very vivid. Mary here is depicted in an interesting way. I like the graphical quality of this composition. An unusual and interesting posting.
regards,
Bev

Bonjour Francis
Urs
