Fragile and yet so strong.
The goal here was to create a warm image at first glance.
But when you take a look at it for a while you'll see dark look that pulls you in.

Who said fragile things are easy to break?

Hele mooie foto. Naturel, goede stand en er gaat iets vanuit, wat ik niet kan benoemen.
Mooi.

Hi Lex,
I think you captured your goal very well with this composition!
Excellent POV, lighting and detail. Good choice in using B&W as I find it warm & sexy!
Well done :)

not always what seems fragile is realy fragile...
I like this portrait... I think your note explain very well the mood of the image....
well done
Paolo
PS the only thing I don't like (but is my taste) is the text on the picture, I'd preffered a framing...

Nice compo and good angle . Her look was sharp. the black and white creat good feeling for the viewer !

the text doesn't seemed distracting to me, a very sensual and strong photo. full of emotions, especially her eyes and her pose. also a little sad....sometimes fragile things are the strongest of all, maybe only when challenged they reveal their real quality and toughness. my compliments for your photo:)

you're right with your note that after a while the devil in her gets out of her eyes. what i thought when a saw the blurred makeup under her eyes and the traces of tears (am i wrong???) to her nose i thought she was hurt, but is seeking for revenge. her eyes display that she's already found a way for her revenge.

very sensual and interesting image. TFS

Absolutely stunning, focus exactly on the important...
Congratulations

Wonderful image. The tones are superb as I am sure you know already. What makes this image for me is the dried mascara as if she had just been crying.

Superb!

Amazing portrait! Wow. taken with a D70 and kit lens? How come mine don't look that good! ;)
Amazing use of DOF and lighting. Beautiful composition and sharpness. You can see every little goose bump on her skin.
I can't think of anything I would change! Great job. JP

I consider that fragility is always a mix of hard and fragile. By exemple.. Egg is a fragile thing. But it's a perfect structure.. At this point that if we only apply pressure in a perfect angle. on both side.. The egg could support in those only condition... the weight of an elephant without a problem.
But if it's about sentiment... Lol it's so much complicated and simple at the same...
Gee that photo inspire a long theory :o)

I like the posture! An excellent close framing!

Very good work, the note, the image, so strong.

Hi Lex,
I really like everything about this photo, especially the compostion and DOF. I just wish the makeup and texture around her eye was a bit cleaner. Still a wonderful image and work!
cheers,
Skye
