Thnx for the comments at my previous post.

Alex Baldolini (born January 24, 1985 in Cesena, Italy) is a Grand Prix motorcycle road racer.

Like many of his young Italian contemporaries, Alex Baldolini started out racing pocketbikes. After five years on the miniature machines, he moved up to national competition on a 125 in 1999. The following year the youngster posted a best finish of second place at Mugello and made his World Championship debut as a wildcard rider at the same circuit. In 2001 he finished third in the European Championship and moved up to the World Championship full-time the next year.

After a lacklustre stint in the 125cc class, Baldolini showed signs of progress in 2003 having switched to the quarter-litre category, improving his results and ending the campaign in 17th place - but the following year he could only manage 18th overall. In 2005 on an Aprilia with Campetella Racing he again finished 18th in the championship, before a move to Matteoni Racing. Again on an Aprilia, Baldolini made a slight improvement to complete the season in 16th position, his best result coming in Turkey where he took eighth place.

In 2007 the 22 year-old Italian joined the Kiefer Racing team, forming a partnership with German rider Dirk Heidolf, but he finished the season 22nd in the championship having been unable to achieve any notable results. In 2008 he returned to Matteoni Racing for his sixth full-time quarter litre class campaign. Baldolini rides for the WTR San Marino Team in 2009.
