Another portrait on ouer family-reunion day.
Hahaha, I know... sounds a bit silly but it's true.
We had a family day in the monkey zoo.

I maked the photo B&W (only the background was coloured) and left the eyes in colour. He had a really funny look in his eyes.

About the Monkey/Lemur
---------------------------------

The Ring-tailed Lemur (Lemur catta) is a large prosimian, a lemur belonging to the family Lemuridae. The Ring-tailed Lemur is the only species within the monotypic genus Lemur and, like all other lemurs, is found only on the island of Madagascar.

Although threatened by habitat destruction and therefore listed as vulnerable by the IUCN Red List, the Ring-tailed Lemur is the most populous lemur in zoos worldwide; they reproduce readily in captivity.

Very nice portrait with the B & W background and colored eyes.great DOF n the sharpness is superb I can see the wet nose is shinning. LOLZzzz

Inderdaad, Vivianne had ook al een zonnebadende katta laten zien.
Deze Lemur komt haast door het scherm - heel mooie details.

I like the choise for B&W ! It's not the most obvious choise because the monkey itself is already B&W. The eyes look beautiful! Very sharp details and well composed.

What a great animal shot - great focus on the eyes. Interesting animal. I'm familiar with monkeys, but lemur's are something new.

Hoi Alex,

Deze heb ik gemist. Wat een pracht shot van deze Lemur (nog nooit van gehoord als ik eerlijk ben). Goed idee van je om het ZW te maken en de ogen in de originel kleur te laten, trekt meteen de aandacht. Fraaie compositie en mooi scherp.
