Wow... like I sayd to you on msn I'd been wanting to visit a show like this for a while, but I've simply been way tooooo busy.
But... I WILL get there.

The view you show us here is absolutely gorgeous. Nice lights and a good composition with all the balloons so near.

Wonderful glow! I love the tight composition here and the way the colours have turned to orange in the glow is superb.

Hi Hans,
Beautiful night capture. There is some green reflection that disturb but after looking at the WS you provided, I think it might come from the laser. I am not sure if I like your signature on the top of the picture. You shake the convention with that, and the police is small for a title place inscription. IMHO, I prefer when the signature respect the bottom place, it does it job without being disturbing.
With that WS posting, you achieve to post 3 pictures a day ! I will be difficult to track your statistics ! TFS,

Hoi Hans,
Super foto zeg. Mooi dat je de laser er ook nog zo mooi op hebt weten te krijgen. Je 28mm heeft het eigenlijk pefect gedaan. Een mooie volle compositie waar het gevoel van er vlak bij zijn erg goed overkomt. En geen enkel teken van vocht op de lens. Ben wel een beetje jalours of the F/16 setting.

Very nice and unusual view Hans:))) night launch - great night image, superb atmosphere, it must be pleasure but also a great danger.... a few days ago during balloon fiesta in Vancouver there was bad accident - already in the air one of baskets catch fire and few people lost their life...

I was smiling as i see it! You did the same. It happen that i go with Michel (Nova) like that walking in Mtl just to chasing picture.
I remember he told me the first time: I'm not sure you will like it cause generally as 2 photographer walk together... they do the same photos. But apparently we have not exactly the same way to do... It work well cause we have an artistic way who is not in competition. He do is way... i do mnie and of course we have some commun subject... But we don't present the same... except in rare occasions.

He i see your photo is look more closer, we see a little more light presence. There is a nuance between the both photos. I like this version too! The atmosphere is full of light, the green light we see here give an effect i enjoy!

Hi Hans,

That is a great capture at night! And your worskshops would be wothy postings on their own. Wonderful blue sky for sure with the rising sun balloon and the laser show in between the balloons gives a very eerie effect.
The F/16 (Amazing F/16, 200 ISO and only 1 second in the middle of the night!) gives a great sharpness. Very nice shot!

Hi Hans

I was going to praise your wonderful control of the exposure in this shot and admire the composition but after seeing the workshop I am chuckling too much over the "Well the weather was gorgeous, deep blue sky and the sun high above the area were the balloons were launched" comment. Well the sun was high and it was happy to see you :)

I've seen a few balloon pictures today, and sadly they remind me of a tragedy we had in British Colombia recently link.
This should not take away from the fun and festivities associated with these events, overall, they are safer than most activities.
