Hi Babeth,
What an impressive portrait of this eagle!
Great lighting and texture!
A pleasing composition!
I must say you found the ideal model...very lucky!
I give you all my praise for this presentation!
Well done.
Regards.
Francis Xavier
Beautiful portrait of a proud bird - the detail in the feathers is brilliant, I am in two minds about the colour, it looks a little flat, have you tried playing around with exposure and saturation? - still a beautifull image as is tho but. TFS

Powerful shot. Great colours and light, and beautifully natural colours.
I know you mentioned that you don't think the image is cropped too tightly - I disagree, I think a little more room on the left, between the beak and the edge of the frame, would be good!

Nice crisp details here Babeth.
Difficult to catch i know, but you've done well here. Your patience paid off.
The mid-tone browns are a natural exposure meter, and the camera settings have coped well with ambient light.
In time and with experience of the camera and settings , you'll move away from the factory presets.
let go of the automated preset light temperature settings, and start using custom settings.
The automated "Cloudy Light" setting has marred this shot for you. Ranking up the colour temp by a couple of hundred degrees would bring a more vibrant natural colour to the shot and enhanced the plumage without a doubt.
The shot is well composed, well executed, well focussed and well worth waiting for, but just a little too tight on the crop.
You've got the bird looking right into edge of the frame. For such a tight crop, it would be a more natural to give the bird something to look into............. A little more space on the left would have given the entire image a more natural feeling.
I'm gonna give you 2 smiley points though, because i know how hard you worked, and how long you waitrd for this shot.
Keep up the good work, and keep uploading.
TFS

Hi Babeth, really stunning shot of this great raptor. I wonder what species of eagle this is - we don't have eagles this color here. Great color and detail. Thanks, Dave
