Tried some blackseries with a flower. (Black background.)
I just putted the flower in the light with a dark background behind it.
Added some blacks in photoshop and this was the result.

I like the colour and lighting in this shot, and the composition... I think the photo would have been stunning if the flower was in the entire DOF, I saw your cam settings and think f16 to 22 would have done the trick with a slow shutter speed ... and that can be done easily with good camera support.I also saw you have cs3 and if you like I can show you a really good way to get razor sharp images using that software aside form the regular sharpening .... Thanks for showing.....Roman:0)
