[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A dragonfly sitting on a plant in our garden.
He was sitting very still, so I could take a lot of shots ^-^. I still couln't get a fully sharp image, though, which I tried to do by choosing a bigger diafragm number.

To still get a sharp photo, I photoshopped two of the good ones which had different depths of field and superimposed them by making one the photos a layer and dissolving it in the other photo. To get a good result I used the erasor and the crop tool for some finishing touches.

I think it came out rather well and I don't think you can really see where I editted the photo. If you do, please say so, so that I can improve on my photoshop skills ^^

I really hope you guys like the result and does anyone know how to get a shot like this one, of a close up animal and still get an overall sharp image?

Thanx for your help and comments
King Regards,
Fleury

Hello Fleur.
Very good shot of the Damselfly, it's always a pain to get the focus and depth right on such a small creature, so this is quite excellent.
As you say, I can't see the joint!
Regards,
Mike

Hello Fleur,
Thanks for your own opinion regarding "the bug and the ant". You are absolutely very young kid for your words. Before you say something to other picture, look whos your talking too. Before I posted here in Treklens that image, it was handed to all professional photographer to other site where critiques are in the highest quality. They say nothing negative words. Like your dragonfly, look the dof, not perfect, and you cropped the tail because you know it's a blurred one. Only the eyes of human is perfect. You're using D50, I'm using ordinary point n shoot. I can make greater dof if I will use your Nikon, bet you cant if you use my point and shoot with your same subject of dragonfly. In photography, you can break the rules for the sake of art. Finish your course, take photography course and you will know what I mean kid.

prachtige macro met zijn bolle
ogen! Zijn staart is er jammer genoeg niet bij!

Really nice - you must be quite good with photoshop - I can't tell where you did the work at all. IMO it's just too bad you didn't catch the tail end of the bug.
Very nice work.
