[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Its that time of the year again, that I am staying more and more indoors and put my creative hat on again. This is a photo I made with my D.I.Y. studio (the cardbord box thing) in which also made Toothpick Anyone? and Crack my Nuts But this time it was a lot easier to do since I gained more knowledge of lighting and PP work.

It's not a peanut, it's a piece of drift wood That I took back from Rialto Beach, Washington State USA.

I wanted to get a nice shade in this shot so I used a flashlight and an LED light. A lot of PP work was done to get the BG totally white and to give this piece of wood some more contrast and color.

Hoi Niek,
Prachtig PP-werk. Inderdaad lijkt het op het eerste gezicht een pinda daarom aardig om te lezen wat het wel is. De schaduw is prima evenals de scherpte. Je expiriment is wat mij betreft zeer geslaagd! TFS.

I like your home made studio, it is a bit like my lightbox (a bit of bent plastic and a light bulb). I love the textures on the driftwood - it looks like a piece of sculpture. Bad winters obviously bring out your creative side

P.S. I have never seen a nutcracker like that one

You right its this time of the year, guess we had the same idea of practising some indoor photagraphy. I like this minimal composition, just the subject and it's shadow looks. great.
