Schuim je nu ook al;s 's nachts rond? In ieder geval levert het een prachtig 'nocturnal shot' op. Perfect hoe de belichting hier ook van de rest van de omgeving is. Mooie inzending. TFS.

Jammer dat je niet kreeg wat je wilde maar dit plaatje is erg goed gelukt. In de WS een per ongeluk goed geluk schot met bus.

Nice and sharp long exposure. Why did you stop at 4 seconds though? Anyways, composition is good, and has been said before you made great use of the wide lens to play wirh perspective.

Great work especially as it is your first attempts as night photography. You may not have had any fast moving traffic but you captured the light trail nicely. The street light has a great effect as well

Hello Niek,
I began to do nocturnal pictures too and I love it. I wonder how you do the focus when you see nothing is the camera and the focus won't do it in automatic way. This is something I really wonder as I had this problem.

I like this picture and exposure with nice composition and POV. This is very well done! Thanks,

Wonderful picture-by-night. I'm amazed about the sharpness and perfect exposure. The light (on the left of the middle) gives a nice effect, just as if the sun still shines.
Maybe you could have tried a composition with less building on the left and more attention to the light trails.

Anyhow: good capture!

I like this!! It's lovely. Very sharp and well taken!!
Reading your note, if the buses aren't driving that fast, to get a fuller trail you could just close aperture down a bit (so that you can have a slower shutter - that will emphasise the movement even more). And/or still you could also couple that with lower ISO, and/or lower the OEV.. so you can go even further still (even into bulb). Anyway, these are just personal tips or two - there are a number of ways - i'm sure you'll probably have some tips/tricks that work well for you too.

Back to your image, I think it's brilliant!
I like images like this and think they are fun to shoot because of the challenge posed to get it right.
You did great here mate!
