Here we have snow since a couple of weeks and now temp is -20C...
Your first snow is beautifully photographed, snow is no easy at all to do well...
Great atmosphere with typical muted colours, suddenly the world comes in black and white!

Very beautiful compo, Niek. Yes, we finally had a touch of winter ;o). Unfortunately, all snow we had (some 5cm or so) had vanished after a couple of hours... Too bad I didn't have my 350D with me today :-§.

Hoi Niek,
Yeahhhhh....great shot my friend! So you did the same as I although I didn't captured farms. The yellow shutters are a nice contrast against the white and grey surrounding. Perfect winter image Niek! Ans I was also fiddeling around with protection towel to keep the camera dry but thats a real challange to go outside in this kind of weather conditions and shoot nice pictures.

Could also be in Canada... You have captured the true essence of what winter is like with a snowfall. The colors have a desaturated look and there is that different light. Well done

Oh wow I think I'd move to a place like this in an instant! The snow looks great, I hope we get to see more shots like this from you. I'm glad you didn't lose the all of the colour in this shot (aka the weeds/grass in the forefront, and the red/yellow structure in the back.) This is a very nice winter scene with the snow falling, the textures of the ground and these small spot of colours on the house. I like the composition with the fence framing the bottom and the branches adding some dimension in the photo.

Exceptionally , I will repeat a comment I just wrote to Donna ( Captainsgirl ) . I love this winter rural mood with the falling snow.
