With some modesty I say: the picture has some Van Gogh aspects.

Polder in Creil (Overijssel, Netherlands)
Foggy sky. No sun; some farmers and holidayworkers are treating the lilies.

Not willing to be didactic, it’s just a wonderful saying in the bible: "Consider the lilies"
Words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, encouraging his followers not to worry about their worldly needs: “Why take ye thought for raiment [clothing]? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin. And yet I say unto you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” (from New Dictionary of Cultural Literacy)

In Dutch:
Kijk eens naar de lelies, kijk hoe ze groeien in het veld. Ze werken niet en weven niet. Ik zeg jullie: zelfs Salomo ging in al zijn luister niet gekleed als een van hen.

And great spoken in Afrikaans:
En wat kwel julle jul oor klere? Let op die lelies van die veld, hoe hulle groei; hulle arbei nie en hulle spin nie;
Ek sê vir julle dat selfs Salomo in al sy heerlikheid nie bekleed was soos een van hulle nie.

interesting image huub, on a few levels, the delicate flower, the "hardness" of the figures. I love the grey misty background, lovely colours.

Pitty for the skies...it would be photo with strong impact if the skies is right...I mean heawy and darker then ground :) Anyway, somethimes you just cant choose your skies! :)) TFS :)
