CLAVARIA ....???

More of the toadstool....
But is this truly a toadstool??? I honestly don't know. I've search arround the internet, but I didn't found this one. The most likely one is this fungus.... the clavaria....
If you know the name of this fungus, please let me know!!!
It lives on a stump of a tree, here it is almost covered by moss.
I am looking forward for your reaction!!! |

Hi Janneke,
Hans
Hello Janneke,
Unfortunately, I can't ID them for you as I know nothing about them. I know that some folks on TN would be able but... This is a very rare specie I guess. I like this low POV and texture. I must confess that I prefer the version you published in the WS which is more detailed. Nice job anyway and I hope that you'll find their ID soon :-) Thanks,
Claudine

He Jan, vond je workshop foto toch wat mooier.
Deze is alleen aan de punten scherp.
Maar wilde graag laten weten dat dit het ´Geweizwammetje´ is!
Liefs Alex

Hi Janneke
Another great funghi shot. There is a UK website called Roger's Mushrooms that can help with mushroom ID or check out extramundi's page on Trek Nature as he is better than a book. I posted a link to extramundi's page on my last reply to you (about your red spotted mushroom). Lovely shot. Great POV and nice details
Points tomorrow - all out today

Hi Janneke,
Your photo most probably shows Xylaria hypoxylon, not a Clavaria. Otherwise, interestingly, the WS photo's better than the original image, it shows the fungus perfectly, from a good POV, without blown out parts. Regards, László
