This is my favorit toadstool! The design, the colours, the material... But If you ask me the name of it... I really don't know! There were to of them. The green one's and the orange-brown one's. But the material of this one, I likes the most!

Please tell me if you know the name!!

It is found on the estate of Twickel, near bij Delden. A little place in the east of the Netherlands.

About the photo, I only cropped, framed en resized it.

Very good detail and light. Well frame too.

Hoi Janneke,
What a brilliant shot of this wonderful tree fungi bracket. I've never seen such a nice 'hairy' fungi like this one. Yesterday I was for a course in the woods of Het Gooi (Soesterberg) unfortunately I didn't brought my camera with me stupid as I was) and saw also a various amounts of toadstools. Anyhow, excellent photo my dear Janneke. Job well done and TFS!
Hans

Absolutely superb shot, Jan! The focus is so good I'd almost eat it. (assuming that it's edible, of course) Well-placed and great dof.

wonderful textures and a great shape. You have certainly joined the funghi club

Hoi Janneke,

Really neat shot. Love the comp, textures, & colors. Out of points for the day.

Hoi Janneke,
Almost 2 years passed since You uploaded this shot, but nobody helped You in ID specification. So I try: Your very good photo (plenty of details, wonderful) most probably shows Trametes gibbosa, a very common specie all over the world, which is growing on dead hardwood, especially on beech and hornbeam. It's hard to identify a specie without the additional infos, but my 2nd tip, if the fungus was growing on pine, is Trichaptum abietinum. It would be good to know the wood specie at least.
Congrats for the shot, I like it. Regards from Hungary, László
