[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a beautiful larva of a Pale tussock (In dutch een rups van een Meriansborstel) (Calliteara pudibunda)
A very hairy caterpillar with three to four brushes ( tufts of yellow hairs) on his beack and a red tail!

What is so special about this larva, that the moths fly isn't that beautiful! Its a grey one with nothing special. It's the opposite of the larva With a the special things and colours!!

I found this one on a path, so I was laying on that path to make some photos......that took a little time :) You have to see the faces of the people who were walking by!!!
Ah, well... thats our destiny :)

eeh. Mooi vind ik anders, maar het is wel een scherpe gedetailleerde foto geworden. Dus met het fotograferen is niets mis.Ik kan me voorstellen wat de mensen dachten. Geef mij maar een gewone slak :)

Snap nog steeds niet dat je dat 'ding' zomaar hier in Nederland hebt zien lopen. Ik zie altijd alleen die vieze bruine of die akelige groene. Deze is echt mooi. Alleen jammer dat je z'n snoet niet ziet.

Hey Janneke,

Eerst dacht ik dat het een soort pluisje van een boom was, maar toen ging ik Merianborstel opzoeken en toen schrok ik heel erg haha. Wat een beest zeg. Leek net een vleermuis.

Het licht in de foto vind ik erg mooi en de witte haartjes zijn mooi helder.
