Brilliant photo, Janneke. I love it. The cropping, the looking up, the colors on the scarf, and for some reason even the blue and black (spray paint?) on the background to the right - it all works. Wow. I've shot some students' senior pictures in the past - I might have to play off your ideas here. TFS... and she is a beautiful young girl - congrats to a proud mother! -Kelly

Great skin tones and I like the compostion, her eyes are the main focus of the picture and are placed perfectly in the third.

Hard to describe what makes this picture so special. i should be against the main rules of composition, technically not perfect, but it has an almost hypnotical quality to it.

Hi Janneke

She makes a beautiful subject for sure! I think your composition and POV here are the winning factors in this shot. The viewer is drawn immediately into those eyes and that lovely smile.

The softness of the focus is a break from the usual super-sharp crisp shots we see usually, but in all honesty I don't see it as a bad thing.

Prachtig portret van een mooie dochter :-) Mooie pose en compositie. Wel heb ikde indruk dat het een tikkie scherper kan (of heb je een gausian filter gebruikt?). Niettemin een pracht plaat!

Ik zag deze thumbnail op je intropagina, Janneke, en ik kon er niet aan weerstaan.
De grote versie stelde me echter teleur: je haalt het zelf al aan, er is een duidelijk probleem met de scherpte. Dan keek ik naar het "origineel" in de ws, en begon me vragen te stellen, zoals daar zijn: "waarom verzachten?": je dochter is een knappe vrouw, en in mijn wereld bestaan er geen Barbie-dolls... ik bedoel, ik hou van portretten "au naturel" en voor mij horen daar sproetjes en zelfs een paar rimpeltjes bij... die geven een gezicht karakter en storen helemaal niet. Om daar nou scherpte voor af te geven, dat kan er bij mij niet in hoor...
Wel leuk is de crop die je gebruikte, die legt heel mooi de nadruk op haar gezicht en vermijdt de achtergrond beter. Maar toch kies ik voor de ws versie, vanwege de scherpte.

Geinig. Ik zag staan "my daughter", met daarachter tussen haakjes (71), zijnde het aantal punten. Nou, die meid ziet er jonger uit, dacht ik dus. Inmiddels staat daar 73 achter. Tsja.

Mooi gepresenteerd zo in de bovenhoek. Is weer eens wat anders. Leuk model met mooi open gezicht. Mooie kleuren ook.
