Nuphar Lutea

Today something different. Here an picture taken in the garden of my brother Arie, the Nuphar Lutea the spatterdock, yellow water-lily, cow lily, yellow pond-lily or in Dutch the gele plomp.

Anyway, it cheers me up, the weather is quite grey and miserable the last days here in Holland. So I looked into my digital picture shoebox again to find a nice colourful image. Well here it is.

Hardly no PP work, only a minor brightness and contrast adjustment. No adjustment of saturation, these flower are so very yellow :-)

Ondanks het miserable weer een zonnige foto uit de schoenendoos!Ik heb 'gele plomp' natuurlijk wel vaker gezien,maar van dichtbij zijn ze prachtig zoals je ze hebt op de foto hebt gezet,warm van kleur ook!

Heerlijke verzadigde kleuren. Kan ik wel gebruiken op zo'n grijze dag. Hoewel .... het is gaan sneeuwen !!

Aaahhhh for me??? Very nice shot Hansie! Your flowers are balanced nicely in the frame! Excellent sharpness and a good deep DOF achieved with F3.5! The water drops makes the colors more vibrant! Good work Hansie!!

Hi Hans,
Nicely captured flowers, well composed image. The four flowers fill up the space on the image pretty regularly. Clarity and sharpness is excellent, while the vivid yellow and refreshing green give some 'colour and light' to our dull, dark winter days. :)
