Hi Niek,

Nice shot. I like low POV with wide angle lens, it amplifies space and height. Excellent shaprness, exposure and DOF. POV and composition are well chosen so the branches frame the building and fill in what would have been and empty blue sky. Great shot and TFS.

Wow, fantastic capture of this lovely small chapel, I've just finished posting my short series of Icelandic Chapels and this photo reminds me about taking picture of those lovely buildings. Good POV from behing, perfect sharpness and details, excellent light an well capture snowy scene. True winter feeling on a sunny day. Your note is interesting, too. Well done, TFS!

Congratulations Niek! And I LOVE this shot. Very nice on the sharpness! I really like that sigma, it's a teenie bit more extreme than my Tokina. I may have to bite the bullet and get one! I love the white/blue combination, with the bit of beige on the building being so nice! The limbs of the trees frame this real nice! Congratulations again! Here is to MORE!

I do like your POV here, coming in low and looking up the snowy expanse to the church. Yes, it is a good composition.

And the snow and blue sky - oh how different from here right now. Today is WET and grey, but not cold.

This is a very beautiful and luminous photo! The composition with this vertical format gives a great dynamism at the monastery. I like the harmonious colors, the foreground with the long shadows and the natural frame by the trees.

I like the use of the wide angle making the scene a nice sense of open space. Nice composition, well balanced.
Exposure, contrast are just right, nice details both in highlights and shadows.

Good evening Niek

A very fine composition of very good taste and artistic mood. The wide angle has rendered a wonderful image of the church and the right POV has created a deformation welcome to the eyes. The winter side light has created some excellent shadows and the details are sharp with very good colors.
