Ik zie waarom RvR zich aangetrokken voelde tot de streek, Ruud. Zeker een plaatsje om eens te bezoeken als ik in de buurt ben ;o).

Wow Ruud!
When I saw this it immediately brought back memories! My father was born here, in this very same "street".
This is the very same spot where I almost drowned when I was 4 years old... in this very same water...
I lived in house that was over 100 years old and that was situated in the lower left corner of your image. The house is long gone now..
Moved away just 2 streets when I was 6 and this little part of the village is soooooo HOME to me!!!
18 years of my life I have lived there, walked this stretch about a million times!

A lovely view of the "Voordijk" in Abcoude... almost as I remember it. Nice composition and colors....

The richness of colours is increased by reflection in this well balanced composition...
Good lead-in, I'd like to follow that walkway to see what's around the bend!
