A very nice way to work you have!
Looks a lot better than the motorway!
Anyway, I really like the symmetrical composition with the two towers in the background, the stark contrast in lighting, the fog... is that a boat enveloped by the fog?
The warm lighting is great. What post processing did you do (if any)?
The only detail I don't quite like that much is that you see the sun directly at the top and also very directly in the water - it's a very harsh reflection. But that's a minor complaint - and probably very personal - and something that you couldn't have avoided in that situation.
Yes, go ahead and do you “Rembrandt van Rijn” series - sounds like a great idea!

Ruud, another amazing Rembrandt picture. Quite honestly if this is the scenary you go through in the polders, I think it is worth a few extra kilometres and it sets you in the right mood for a day's work

Hmm, heerlijk die morgenmist.
Hoe vroeg ga jij je bed uit zeg? Ik moet elke dag juist naar Amstelveen toe, en heb ook idd verschillende keren gedacht om mijn camera mee te nemen, vooral in de buurt van Ouderkerk zie ik af en toe echt prachtige taferelen...
Maar lui als ik ben, laat ik hem lekker thuis...

Lucky you, even if mad, to travel troyhg this place, It payed of in a form of a wonderful photograph. I love the brown tomes and the fog is just striking. Passes an idea of a "isolated" place even if not. Light is great and you got great comp.
