Hoi Jan,
A fine coloursful image of the Begijnhof, a pity the shadow is "cutting" the image in two different halfs. At the otgher hand it creates the reality of th emoment. Perfect sharpness, superb crisp and clear colours.

Hi Jan,
This is a beautiful place full of colors under this bleu sky. The archictecture of houses in your country is very interesting. I like htese height facades with the unique cornices and the large fenestration. I propose you a quick WS about the darkness in the foreground. Don't mind! Have a nice WE! Annie

Good sharpness & lighting contrasts. I'm intrigued what Annie's workshop might look like, but correctly guessed it might be the shadow detail in the fg. Wonderful colour & framing with good color saturation. Tfs!

Wat is het toch een prachtig stukje Amsterdam he?
schitterende kleuren en mooi helder Jan... helemaal goed.
En die schaduw... tjsa... bij zulk helder weer is die schaduw nu eenmaal heel donker en daar doe je weinig aan. Als je een HDR zou maken zou het wat mij betreft heel onecht overkomen.
Nee... lekker zo laten!

Een mooie maar gedurfde opname met zoveel schaduw. Resultaat is goed en zeker niet storend. goeie combinatie van licht en donker.

Hello Jan,

I like the way the buildings make a right angle, to contain the f/g, following the rule of thirds.
I love the contrasting light and shadows where it almost makes a diagonal across the frame.
Interesting details and sharp focus.

Mooie foto van een mooi plekje midden in Amsterdam, waar je in 1 minuut van de drukte in de totale stilte bent.
Mooie kleuren, goed gewerkt met licht en schaduw en genomen van een goed POV.

Hoi Jan,
Mooie plaat van een mooi stukje Amsterdam. Mijn eerste reactie was ook: doe wat aan deze foto met "schaduwen/hooglichten" maar als ik jouw uitleg hierbij lees ("Rembrand-effect") zeg ik: lekker zo laten.
Ik loop trouwens heel wat achter; ik kom net terug van 10 dagen La Douce France.
Zal in de komende dagen wel weer wat uploaden.
'k Heb gezien dat er op TL weer heel wat is gebeurd ook.....
