Wow, they KNOW how to pose!!! This has everything, from clarity to detail to perfect pose and bg. I remember my lion shot from the Calgary Zoo which I had to doctor quite a bit since the bg was depressing.

.... speechless.... have you ever heard of the artisit David Shepherd? well this shot reminds me so much of his style.. He normally paints elephants but has also painted the big cats.. as he does you have captured the very soul of these animals, perfect lighting and a masterful portait here. Well, he looks very friendly, but she looks quite nasty, Hans. Maybe she was a bit hungry ;o).
Nice compo, I really like the tight crop. Good sharpness on both faces (even at only f/4.8). Backdrop is very neutral in structure, and very good in contrasting with their fur.
