(thanks to twin for the correct I.D.)

Shot this little fella while having a cup of coffee on a terras. I somehow think it was after the complimentary biscuit, which as a reward he was given for posing for me :)

Species info : -

A common resident throughout most of Britain. In the winter some birds of the continental race C.m.monedula occur, with occasional groups of the eastern race C.m.soemeringii. Birds showing characteristics of these continental races have been known to stay for many months and even attempt to breed.

Widespread and numerous in most of Europe.

Hi Colin,

it is a very nice pic with a beautiful BG...

but this one is not a Corvus Corone...

it is Corvus monedula... Eurasian Jackdaw...

It is easily recognised at close range by an obvious grey shawl around the nape which makes the face and forehead look conspicuously black. In flight it is smaller with shorter, more rounded and quicker-paced wings than other crows, sometimes seeming almost pigeon-like.

thanks for your post..

alper
