Scottish Highlander

This walks in the dunes close to “Beverwijk”

The Scottish Highlander is the oldest registered European beef cow. There is record of this breed as far back as the twelfth century. They were grazed before the Shorthorn was even known. There is archaeological evidence of them from the sixth century, making them one of the oldest known breeds of cattle in modern history.

Highlands require a minimum of management and care. They do not require barn housing and they forage readily where feed is sparse

Ook goedemorgen!
Yesterday I tried (with my dog) to find these ones in our forests here, but in vain.
Wonderful close up with strength in body and suspicion in looking. Nice to surround this colossus with a small frame
Have a good weekend Ruud; I hope SantaClaus will surpise you.

Goedemorgen Ruud.

Zeer goed. groeten Frans

Prachtig, Ruud !

Great sharpness and POV Ruud - thsoe sharp eyes look very mean and forwarning. Grat DOF as his whole body is in focus, and the backgropund light and blurry. Very nicely done, Sam

Hello Ruud,

It is again a very good shot. Razor sharp details, soft tone colours.

I realy like it. Small rremark that it looks as if you createrd some fog spots?

Thanks,

Hendrik

Schitterend Ruud,

Goed genomen

Hi Ruud, what a -huge- animal this is. Great pose and good light. The mid angle of the photo makes the Highlander even bigger. The fog is nice, it makes the main item stand out more but if I may say so (need very small letters) you just missed reallity when we do take a look at the fog. Very nice photo, see you again, Richard

BBRRAAVVIISSIIMMOOO!

Hoi Ruud,

Great capture. Light and detail on the cow is really good. Looking at this I feel like it is the POV of a tiger that is waiting in the field ready to get some dinner.

TFS,

Pedro

groetjes lotte

Hi Ruud!!!

Your model over here seems really amazed with a Sony in front of him ;) but you should have advised him to comb properly before the shot. Looks as if he was trying to dig out something from the earth using his strong horns just before you arrived at the crime scene :D, you caught him read-handed in his act rather mud-headed we must say! :D

This is very impressive shot, a minotaur would have fallen in love for sure, also a beautiful color tone...naturally balanced and focussed!
Congrats and thanks for sharing!
Cheers!
