"Abstract Symmetry" in Blue

Well it wasn't easy to think about something original for the theme of this week. Many think aircrafts are boring (in they are right, unless it's making money for you :-) Anyway took today some shots on Schiphol, the weather was gorgeous and during my round trip over the platforms I saw this impressive KLM MD11 and took some pictures for the theme. Rotated it in Photoshop, flipped it vertically and copied one half, paste it against the other and ...voila the "Abstract Symmetry" image of me is born.

In the WS you find the original image.

Hope you like it and if not tell me why! :-)

Hello Hans. Excellent contribution to the theme in brilliant sharpness and stunning perspective here. I like the the frame title too. Very creative and original. Best regards. Jusni

Oh no no, aircrafts are WONDERFUL shiny things...women like shiny things! HAHA!. This is nice Hans, this reminds me of a bird flying, two ducks kissing... I see two eyes looking at me...now what is my psychosis?
B-)
Calamity!

Ahhhh, this Friday's theme has gererated some wild ideas and this one is pretty special. Neat stuff Hans. A thinking mans abstract - this one is original I dare day. Bravo.

Dan

I think it would work even better without the ladder, Hans. I'd have cloned that out. Apart from that, it does work. I wonder what would happen if you apply some Gaussian blur to it and then use a ripple filter or something like that... because I don't think this is really abstract. Symmetrical it is of course.
Anyway, TFS

Heh ... I like the crazy inventiveness of this shot. It takes a little interpretation and the like/dislike factor is totally subjective - but for me, I like!

Not my favorite aircraft but a killer shot of the business end. :)
Nicely conceived and presented.
Cool shot, both in tone and in view. :)

MD11, how nice :)
Great contribution to the theme.

Abstract AND symmetrical Hans. There are so many variables both with definitions and processing. Clear colour, good definition. TFS,
David

Monday :]

Hi Hans,

If it were not for the theme, I'm not sure if I'd like this one. The photograph would already been interesting without the heavy post processing on the symmetry. But it does fit the theme very nice!!
But I do like the original image more ;-P.

Greetings!
Dennis

I like the fact you even reversed the title, Hans! This is open to further play, maybe polar coordinates?
