My lucky day
Swans always had a great attraction to me.
Specially one in they air. In the green hart of Holland we have a lot of wild swans. During the winter and breeding they fly more. In that time I was driving trough that area daily. Next to me a camera shoot ready. Sometimes I was a danger on the polder roads. Looking for the birds and not looking on the road. I had never success. On a certain day I walked in the fields and there where suddenly a lot of swans. I started running to them to get them up in the air. Forgot one thing my polarization filter was still attached. Bad photos where the result of that. Just recently looking for dandelion and there was that typical sound of flying swans. Your guess is right the camera was in macro position. But this time the swans decided to do a second fly bye. And I was able to get control over the camera.

Balance boldness and beauty. You caught the swan in flight above a great sunset. The shot has two focal points the sunset background and the bird in flight. There is both balance in that the elegance of a bird in flight and the sunset both beauty and boldness. Great shot.

i like very much the composition including the sun! beautiful colors of sky! tfs

I like the setting sun in the bottom.
And swans are such gracious creatures.
This is the first time I have seen one in flight.
Look at the finesse of the wings.

Loved your note, this is one of the nicest of your shots. I love the color in the BG and the swan right in flight, how marvelous nature is , mother nature was very generous with you to give you a second chance for a great shot.

Lucky for me it was your lucky day as I don't think I have ever seen a swan in flight! The swan looks so majestic with a nice sunset to compliment it in the background. Lovey colour tones & details.

Maar deze is ook zeer fraai Ruud. Met nog net die zon boven de horizon. Heel fraai.
