At the brink of autumn

Here a view of the polder of Spaarndam between the motor highway A9 and the ports of Amsterdam. The weather "smelled" almost as autumn. Clear skies and still fresh greens of the polder.

un bello paisaje buen trabajo

Hi Hans,
A lovely polder landscape where you give a perfect impression of what this part of our country looks like. Even the sky is a typical Dutch one. I like the wonderful reflection on the ditch in the FG and the two different styles of building in the near distance.

P.S. I did a little WS just for fun. The only thing improving on your photo is the sharpness and maybe levels

A nice autumn shot of this beautiful landscape!
Great lighting and sharpness with a nice reflection in the water.
Fabulous color saturation with marvelous green and blue tones! Nice contrasts as well!

I agree with Niek, some levels work needed. Also I getting a feeling of the horizon being crooked, too much Heineken again!! I did WS also my Hansie. Hope you like it!

There's certainly a look of gathering gloom in this shot, I don't quite know how you managed it - the controlled levels, I guess?
Good placement of elements, a strong ratio of land to sky.

Hi Hans

The diffused light has permitted maximum shadow detail. Good reflections of the blue skylight in the fg water, with excellent sharpness & framing. Linda & Niek are right about the contrast levels. Tfs!

Zie nou wel, dat de herfst eraan komt! hahahahah
Een prachtig plekje Hans. Gelukkig zijn de kleuren nog fris groen! Slootjes en waterkanten doen het altijd goed op foto's...
Zo te zien zou je eens wat dichter bij de linker boerderij moeten komen.. zo'n prachtige oude hooiberg! die zie je niet vaak meer.
